Construction of Abhayarazamuni Buddha Image near Pankwe Village in Kengtung donated by families of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and well-wishers completed



The construction of Abhayarazamuni Buddha Image started near Pankwe Village in Kengtung Township on October 6, 2016 with cash donation made by the families of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and well-wishers. It has a 150-foot-long and 180-foot-wide platform, a 45-foot-long and a 63-foot-wide altar. The Buddha image is 72 feet in height and comprises 32 large and small characters of the Buddha.

The construction of Abhayarazamuni Buddha Image has been completed. On January 30, a ceremony to consecrate Abhayarazamuni Buddha Image and enshrine religious edifices at the original, middle and upper reliquaries will be held.
