Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing leaves for People’s Republic of China

the invitation of member of the Central Military Commission and Chief
of the Joint Staff Department of the People’s Republic of China Gen.Li
Zuocheng, a Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by
Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing
left Nay Pyi Taw Airport for China this morning.
The
Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by the Senior General were
seen off at the airport by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services
Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win,Chief of the
General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo,
Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San,Commander-in-Chief (Air)
General Maung Maung Kyaw, senior military officers from the Office of
the Commander-in-Chief, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command,Chinese
Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr.Hong Liang and officials.
On
arrival at Chagshui Airport in Kunming of China, the Senior General and
party were welcomed by Political Commissar Maj.Gen. Yu Kun of Yunnan
Province Military Region, Vice Governor of Yunnan Province Mr. Zhanguo
Hua and senior military officers from the Chinese People’s Liberation
Army,Consul General of Kunming U Soe Paing,Myanmar Military Attaché
(Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Tint Hsan and officials.Communist Party
Secretary of Yunnan Province Mr. Chen Hao hosted a luncheon to the
Senior General and party. After the luncheon, the Senior General
presented gifts to the Communist Party Secretary of Yunnan Province and
officials.
In the afternoon, the Senior General and party left
Chagshui Airport of Kunming and arrived at Nanyuan military airport in
Beijing in the evening. They were welcomed at the airport by Myanmar
Ambassador to China U Thit Linn Ohn and offi cials from the Office for
International Military Cooperation of the Chinese People’s Liberation
Army. The Senior General and party arrived at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse
where they will stay.
The Senior General was accompanied by
Lt-Gen Than Tun Oo, Lt-Gen Soe Htut and senior military officers from
the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) as delegation members.
During the goodwill visit, the Senior General will hold talks with
leaders of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and tour training
schools, factories and significant places.
