Vice-Senior General Soe Win visits local battalions in Fort Bahtoo,
Inlay PhaungdawU Pagoda, meets officers, other ranks and families from
Loikaw Station

Vice-Senior General Soe Win, accompanied by senior military officers
from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), the
commander of Eastern Command and senior military officers from Bahtoo
Station, visited the local battalions in the Fort Bahtoo this morning.
At
the offices of the battalions, officials reported on general staff,
adjutant and quartermaster affairs. The Vice-Senior General asked about
requirements and attended to the needs.
Next, the Vice-Senior General and party went round on a motorcade within the local battalions.
They then visited Aungmyaysatkya Mingalar Sutaungpyae Pagoda in Bahtoo and made cash donations.
The
Vice-Senior General and wife Daw Than Than Nwe, senior military
officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief,the commander of
Eastern Command and officials visited the PhaungdawU Pagoda in Inlay
region, Naungshwe Township, where they were welcomed by senior military
officers, departmental officials, members of the pagoda board of
trustees and town elders.
The Vice-Senior General and party
offered flowers and water , paid homage to the five PhaungdawU Buddha
images and made cash donations. Members of the pagoda board of trustees
presented Dhamma gifts to them.The Vice-Senior General and party signed
the guestbook. After viewing the documentary photos, the Vice-Senior
General and party paid homage to Sein and Mya Monastery abbot Maha
Saddhama Jotikadhaja Bhaddanta Kumuda and members of the Sangha and
offered Thingan (yellow robe)and alms.
The Vice-Senior General
and party went to Loikaw Station in the afternoon. At the meeting hall
of Regional Operations Command(Loikaw), the command commander briefed on
regional security measures and the Vice-Senior General left necessary
instructions.
Afterwards, the Vice-Senior General asked about
requirements of individual battalion and company commanders and attended
to the needs. He explained the completion of peace process by the
Tatmadaw by 2020,efforts to bring peace to the people, timely feedback
report if there are difficulties in implementing the assigned duties and
prescribed instructions and policies, and no involvement in illegal
businesses and narcotic drug cases.
The Vice-Senior General and
party went to the Tatmadaw Hospital in Loikaw and comforted and provided
foods to the officers and other ranks receiving medical treatment. They
then inspected the mass hall and kitchen in the hospital and fulfilled
the requirements. The Vice-Senior General presented cash awards to the
officers, other ranks and families receiving treatment at the hospital.
